It’s best to contact us a few months in advance. While we can handle shorter lead-times, providing us a longer time period allows us to schedule a survey, plan transport, book the vehicle and ensure all customs / documentation is in order for your destination country.

The cost depends on the volume of your household goods (cubic metres or weight), the destination country in Europe, shipping method (road freight is most common), access at both properties (driveway, stairs, lift), special items requiring extra packaging and any storage requirements. A home or video survey helps us offer an accurate quote.

When moving from the UK to an EU country there are fewer formalities, but for destinations such as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or the Canary Islands additional customs documentation may be needed. Your dedicated Move Co-ordinator will guide you through exactly what documents, inventories and declarations are required.

The timeline varies based on your collection location, destination, and any customs or transport delays. Road transport is the most common option for European moves and is generally faster and more convenient than sea freight, though it can still be affected by border checks or access restrictions. We’ll provide an estimated delivery timeframe once your survey is complete and your route is confirmed.

If you prefer to pack yourself, we’ll supply the materials and guidance, and your Move Co-ordinator will review your inventory and packing standard to ensure everything meets destination requirements.
